The Effectiveness of "Hello English" in Improving Simple Present in an Indonesian Senior High School
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning use smartphone-based Hello English Application to improving Simple Present at MAS Imam Adil Waisai academic year of 2022/2023. This research is a pre-experimental research conducted using a pre-test and post-test design. This study uses a one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were all 34 students of MAS Imam Adil Kota Waisai. The sample was taken using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this final project is a test (pretest-posttest). In collecting data, the writer used pre-test and post-test, the writer gave treatment after getting enough data. The results of this study indicate that the average pre-test is 42.85. and the post-test mean was 65.97, . It sees whether the hypothesis is accepted or rejected. Used Wilxocon tests. Asymp.sig (2tailed) is worth 0,000. Because the value of 0,000 is smaller than < 0,05, it means that the hypothesis is accepted. It could be stated that the hypothesis is "using a smartphone-based Hello English application in improving the simple present at Mas Imam Adil Kota Waisai.
