Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on children's behavior, particularly in the use of gadgets and other digital devices. On the one hand, gadgets offer educational and entertainment benefits, but on the other hand, excessive use without supervision can lead to addiction. Gadget addiction in children negatively impacts their psychological, social, and academic aspects. Therefore, we, a team of lecturers from the Psychology Study Program (Prodi), Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), and Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) at Khairun University, held a Community Service (PkM) with the theme "Psychoeducation for Preventing Gadget Addiction in Children at the Halim Ramadhan Tubo TPQ" at the Halim Ramadhan Musholla in Tubo Village, North Ternate District, Ternate City. The purpose of this activity was to identify the factors causing gadget addiction in children and examine the role of psychoeducation as a preventive measure. Psychoeducation has proven effective in increasing children's and parents' awareness and skills in managing healthy technology use.
