Pendekatan Psikodiagnostik dalam Mengkaji Rendahnya Kepercayaan Diri Pada Remaja

This study aims to analyze the causes and effects of low self-confidence in a 16-year-old teenage girl using a psychodiagnostic approach. Adolescence is a crucial period in development characterized by the formation of self-esteem and self-confidence, but not all adolescents are able to develop these optimally. This study applies a qualitative method with a case study, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews and observations. The findings indicate that the subject's low self-confidence is influenced by a combination of internal factors, such as negative self-image, fear of failure, and a tendency to compare herself with friends who are considered better, as well as external factors such as minimal emotional support and praise from family, dominant criticism, and a competitive social environment. The consequences are seen in the subject's behavior, which tends to be quieter, avoids active involvement in class, is easily anxious, and feels less valuable in front of her friends
