Abstract

The Quarter-Life Crisis (QLC) phenomenon is increasingly prevalent among Generation Z, especially college students entering the final stages of their studies. The transition to adulthood, combined with academic pressures, social demands, and future uncertainty, makes individuals vulnerable to identity confusion, anxiety, and feelings of failure. This study aims to uncover the psychological condition of a final-year college student exhibiting QLC symptoms through a psychodiagnostic approach. Using a qualitative single case study method, this study collected data through non-participatory observation and in-depth interviews with a 23-year-old male subject who exhibited typical signs of QLC. Additionally, other psychological symptoms such as low self-esteem, decreased motivation, and a tendency to withdraw from social circles were also found. These findings indicate that QLC is not merely a temporary psychological phenomenon but has the potential to disrupt psychosocial functioning if not addressed appropriately
