Penyimpangan Etika dalam Praktik Korupsi: Tinjauan Kasus melalui Pendekatan Konseling Moral

Abstract

Corruption is a form of behavioral deviation that reflects moral and ethical degradation in social life and a weakness in religious values (Evi Hartanti 2016). This study aims to analyze corruption as a form of ethical deviation through a case-by-case approach and examine the role of moral counseling in responding to this phenomenon (Abdul Wahid and Muhammad Irfan 2020). The case-by-case approach is used to highlight real-life case studies as a basis for ethical and moral reflection on individuals involved in corruption (Alwi Shihab 1997). Moral counseling plays a role in fostering ethical awareness through dialogue, introspection, and repentance for deviant behavior (Rakhmat 2020). The study's results indicate that ethical deviations committed by perpetrators of corruption are generally rooted in weak moral values, rationalization of actions, and the absence of ethical mentors in the social environment. Therefore, moral counseling can be a preventive and rehabilitative tool in revitalizing ethical awareness, especially for individuals involved in corruption cases
