Analisis Tingkat Kepercayaan Diri Mahasiswa Program Studi Bpi: Menggunakan Instrumen Bimbingan Dan Konseling

This case study examines the self-confidence level of a first-year Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BPI) student using guidance and counseling instruments. Data were collected through structured interviews, a self-confidence questionnaire, and a three-generation genogram. Results show that the respondent's self-confidence is situational: it rises sharply in new, autonomy-granting environments but collapses under rigid rules and restrictions, reflecting the impact of an authoritarian father figure and a distant relationship with her maternal grandfather, counterbalanced by a warm, validating bond with her mother. The respondent shows strong academic potential, emotional awareness, and adaptability, yet limited opportunity to practice assertiveness at home. Recommended counseling services include individual counseling, assertive-communication training, group counseling with peers facing similar authoritarian parenting dynamics, and career guidance that channels her need for autonomy. These findings highlight the importance of family-based guidance and counseling interventions in supporting the psychosocial development of emerging-adult students
