Abstract

Academic stress is one of the main challenges often experienced by students due to the high pressures of study, such as numerous assignments, academic achievement demands, and time constraints. The Islamic counseling approach offers a comprehensive solution by combining spiritual values and modern psychological principles to help students cope more effectively with academic stress. This study employed a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the concept and effectiveness of Islamic counseling in reducing academic stress. The findings indicate that the main strategy in Islamic counseling includes strengthening the spiritual connection with God through worship practices such as prayer, dhikr, and reading the Quran. Furthermore, this approach helps students transform negative thought patterns into positive ones and manage their time more structured. Furthermore, the values of patience and gratitude are also important elements in the counseling process. This approach not only contributes to reducing academic stress levels but also plays a role in improving students' emotional well-being, inner peace, and learning motivation. Therefore, Islamic counseling is a relevant and effective method in supporting academic balance and strengthening students' spiritual aspects
