Author Guideline

TIFA: Journal of Integrated Islamic Knowledge and Education, written in professional academic English and fully ready for Open Journal Systems (OJS) or journal website publication.

  1. Manuscript Submission

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under consideration elsewhere. All submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system (OJS) at [insert journal link]. Manuscripts should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia, following the journal’s style and ethical standards.

Submissions undergo double-blind peer review to ensure academic integrity, originality, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.

  1. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles — reports of empirical or theoretical studies.
  • Conceptual Papers — analytical or philosophical discussions based on literature synthesis.
  • Case Studies — analyses of practical experiences, innovations, or educational practices.
  • Book Reviews — critical reviews of recently published works relevant to the journal’s focus.
  1. Manuscript Structure

Each manuscript should contain the following elements:

  1. Title and Author Information
  • Title (concise, informative, and specific to the content)
  • Full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and email addresses
  • Corresponding author clearly identified
  1. Abstract and Keywords
  • Abstract: 150–250 words, written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Keywords: 3–5 terms reflecting the core themes of the article
  1. Main Text Structure

For research articles, use the following structure:

  1. Introduction – background, research problems or novelty or issues, objectives, and significance, which include relevant theories and previous studies.
  2. Methodology – research design, participants, instruments, and analysis techniques.
  3. Findings and Discussion – presentation and interpretation of results.
  4. Conclusion and Recommendations – key findings and implications for theory or practice.

For conceptual papers or philosophical studies, authors may use flexible subheadings that reflect the argument flow.

  1. Formatting Guidelines
  • Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1.5 line spacing, and justified text alignment.
  • Page length: 4,000–8,000 words including references and appendices.
  • Use APA Style 7th Edition for citations and references.
  • Quotations from Arabic sources should include transliteration and translation.
  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.
  1. Review and Publication Process

All submissions will be screened through plagiarism detection software.
The editorial board conducts an initial screening for relevance and quality before assigning manuscripts to at least two reviewers.

 

The review outcomes may be:

  • Accepted without revision
  • Accepted with minor or major revisions
  • Rejected (unsuitable or insufficient quality)

Authors will receive reviewer comments via the OJS platform. Revised manuscripts should be resubmitted within the specified period.
