Open Access Policy

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

Al-Mumtaz: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam provides open access to its published content in support of the global exchange of scholarly knowledge, academic collaboration, and the advancement of research in Islamic educational management and related disciplines. The journal believes that making research freely available to the public promotes wider dissemination of knowledge and provides opportunities for researchers, educators, students, practitioners, and other interested readers to benefit from scholarly findings.

The journal adopts an open access policy under which readers can access published articles online without subscription fees or other charges for reading the full text. This policy is intended to remove financial barriers to accessing scholarly literature while maintaining appropriate standards of academic quality, research integrity, and publication ethics.

1. FREE AND IMMEDIATE ACCESS

All published articles are made available through the journal's website without subscription or access fees. Readers may access and read the full text of published content online without registering for a paid account or purchasing individual articles, subject to any technical requirements of the journal's platform.

The journal supports the broad dissemination of research findings and encourages readers to discover, read, cite, and share published scholarship in accordance with applicable copyright law and the licensing terms stated for each article. Open access is intended to facilitate scholarly communication and does not remove the responsibility to acknowledge authorship and cite sources appropriately.

2. OPEN ACCESS AND THE BUDAPEST OPEN ACCESS INITIATIVE

The journal's commitment to open access is informed by the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). In general, open access enables users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and otherwise use scholarly works for lawful purposes, subject to the applicable rights and licensing conditions.

Al-Mumtaz: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam supports the responsible sharing of scholarly knowledge while recognizing the importance of author attribution, the integrity of published works, and respect for intellectual property rights. Readers and other users must comply with the copyright and license terms applicable to each published article.

For further information about the Budapest Open Access Initiative, readers may visit the official declaration: Budapest Open Access Initiative Declaration.

3. READER RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Readers may access published articles without paying subscription or article access fees. They are encouraged to use the research for academic study, teaching, research, and other lawful purposes, subject to the license and copyright conditions associated with the relevant article.

When quoting, reproducing, distributing, or otherwise reusing published material, users must provide appropriate acknowledgment of the original authors and source, preserve the integrity of the work, and comply with the applicable license and legal requirements. Open access does not authorize plagiarism, misrepresentation of authorship, or reuse that violates the rights of authors or other rights holders.

4. COPYRIGHT AND LICENSING

Copyright and reuse permissions for articles published in the journal are governed by the copyright statement and license specified for each article. Authors and readers should consult the relevant article page to determine the applicable terms for copying, distribution, adaptation, and other forms of reuse.

The journal respects authors' intellectual contributions and promotes proper attribution of scholarly work. Users must not assume that all forms of commercial reuse, adaptation, or redistribution are permitted merely because an article is freely accessible online. Such uses must comply with the specific license and applicable law.

To maintain transparency, the journal should clearly display the applicable copyright and licensing information on its website and on each published article. Any license designation, including a Creative Commons license, should be stated only when it has been formally adopted by the journal and applied to the relevant content.

5. OPEN ACCESS AND PEER REVIEW

Open access to published articles does not replace or weaken the journal's editorial assessment and peer-review procedures. Manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal's editorial policies, peer-review process, scholarly standards, and publication ethics requirements before a final publication decision is made.

The journal seeks to ensure that free public access is accompanied by responsible editorial practices, appropriate quality control, and respect for research integrity. Making an article openly accessible does not in itself constitute an endorsement of every interpretation or conclusion expressed in that article by the journal or its editorial team.

6. AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal are responsible for ensuring that their work is original, accurately presented, and prepared in accordance with the journal's author guidelines and publication ethics policies. Authors must ensure that they have the necessary rights or permissions for any third-party material included in their manuscripts.

Authors should review the journal's copyright and licensing terms before submission and publication. Any applicable agreement concerning copyright ownership, publication rights, or licensing must be completed in accordance with the journal's established procedures. Authors are also responsible for providing accurate attribution and acknowledging relevant sources.

7. LONG-TERM ACCESS AND PRESERVATION

The journal recognizes the importance of maintaining access to its published scholarly record. The editorial team should take appropriate measures, consistent with available institutional and technical resources, to support the preservation and continued accessibility of published content.

Information about the journal's digital archiving or preservation arrangements should be made available to readers when such arrangements have been established. The journal will seek to maintain accurate article metadata and stable access to published content to support discovery, citation, and responsible reuse.

8. COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBLE SCHOLARLY COMMUNICATION

Through this Open Access Policy, Al-Mumtaz: Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam seeks to contribute to a more inclusive and accessible scholarly communication environment. The journal encourages the responsible exchange of ideas and research findings that can support the development of Islamic educational management, educational leadership, institutional governance, and related academic fields.

The journal's open access commitment is intended to broaden opportunities for scholarly engagement across institutional, geographical, and economic boundaries. Readers, authors, and other users are encouraged to respect academic integrity, acknowledge original contributions, and comply with the licensing terms that govern published content.
